2 sport days!

We have had some fun sport days the past few weeks.. We played soccer against Greeton Centre last week & played many different sports yesterday in our outing - it is great doing exercise! :) 

Memorial Park

We went to memorial park today for a nice walk and we kicked a soccer ball around! 

Disco & BBQ!

We recently had a disco day at the centre and a yummy BBQ for lunch. It was fun dancing and hanging with friends for the day plus celebrating a birthday! 

Makeup & Hair!

Today it was so fun to get my hair done up and some pretty makeup put on by our staff! 

Swimming & a walk

Today we went to the Mount Hot Pools and then went for a nice walk on the beach! 

Arboria - Art Festival

For one of our activities this week we went to the strand to 'Illuminarium - Arboria' an amazing blow up light display!

We have been doing some interesting activities lately - drawing, creative writing, cooking and spending time with friends! 

Cooking!

Yum yum! Today we made apple turnovers. It was great learning how to make them & they were scrumptious :) 

Kite Day in Katikati

We had a great trip this week to Katikati to watch some kite flying! We also did some art at the centre that I really enjoyed :) 

Rounders Game with the Greerton Centre

Today we went to a park and played a game of Rounders with the Greerton Centre! It was good fun and everybody had a turn hitting the ball. 

Farm visit

Today we went for a visit to one of our staff members farms to look at the kiwi fruit and learn about farming! 

Matua beach walk

Today we went for a walk with friends and enjoyed the warm sun. We are trying to get as much exercise as we can each week!

It was nice to get some exercise out in the sun today - it's warming up now! 

Getting supplies for candle making

Out shopping today - choosing some scent chips to make candles next week! 

Staff members last day

Today it was one of our staff members last day at Wilrose Centre. I thanked him for all his hard work and we sung him a song! 

Great moves

I love dancing. We do exercise to music in the mornings and sometimes I put on a show for all my friends because I am a pretty good dancer.

Trip to the movies

A few of us from Arohanui went to the movies to see Inside out..  It was so funny but had some sad bits in as well. It was a great movie and we all enjoyed it.

Girls group

I love this dress, so pretty, I love this shop! Sabotage rocks!

Computer Time

In the computer session I played a game that you have to match 3 balls and they disappear. You have to get rid of all the balls before you go on to the next level. I like this game and have the highest score at the centre. I can even beat Mel.

Awesome trip to MOTAT

A few of us from Wilrose went up to Auckland to the Motat museum. There were so many neat things to look at and we also got to have a ride on a Tram. It was funny because you ca drive them from both ends.

Working with pastels

In our art and craft session we did some art using pastels. It is good fun because you can use you fingers to spread different colours together. I did two drawings which are nearly finished. Don't they look great?

Outing to Honey Farm

We went to a honey farm called Mossops Honey. We saw lots of bees in their hive and there were some really cool things to look at in their shop. I had good fun.

Trip to McLarens Falls Park

We went on an outing to McLarens Falls park for photography this week. We took lots of photos of how the park looks now that winter is here. All the leaves were falling off the trees and it looked beautiful.

Lifeskills Session

We learnt about emotions in Lifeskills. It was interesting and we played some games on some of them. It was fun.

Wedding dresses

We went to bridal solutions on Cameron road for girls group and the lady there let us try on some amazing gorgeous wedding dresses. I felt so pretty and I was so excited. We had a great time!

Sports game

It was raining so we set up indoor bowling at the centre and played it. I am a pretty good bowler once I get my eye in. Some of my friends here at Wilrose made the skittles in their renovation class. They looked pretty cool painted and decorated up.

Fun at the park

We had a great time down on the strand playing on the park down there. We took the video as well and Sophie made a film of us.

Girls group party

My mum came down to the Mad Hatters tea party that we put on for girls group. We did lots of fun things and got to dress up in costumes. We also had speeches and songs and we had nice food.

Music and dance

This week we did Karaoke for music and I sang a few songs and danced. It was a lot of fun and I loved performing. Here a a few pics of me in action.
