Finishing up!

I have completed my Personal book and had the help of one of my bestie’s from Wilsrose. I would like to wish everyone at Wilrose a Merry Christmas and happy new year.

End of year

Getting to the end of the year and I have finishing stuff off, I even finished my cooking book, I cooked lots of awesome recipes this year. Getting ready for independence, yeah!

Book

Worked hard on my personal book today, got lots of cool photos stuck in, it was good fun. No picture of me doing it though, doh!

Ten Pin Bowling

I had a fun morning out with my friends playing Ten pin bowling.

Road safety

Today we had Ruben the road Safety Bear visit our centre. He taught us some good reminders on how to cross the roads safely. Stop, Look, Listen and Link.

I look gorgeous!

Wilrose had a whole day of Pampering and I had my hair, nails and face done. I really enjoyed having a facial cleanse, moisturise and make up. Check me out, I look like a movie star.

Hangi & Disco Day

Today we had a disco at our centre while our lunch was cooking. In our Hangi we had Chicken, Pork, pumpkin, potatoes, cabbage and fried bread followed by steam pudding and custard. I enjoyed singing on the microphone & dancing with my friends.

Guitar playing

One of my goals is to learn to play the guitar. I learned all the names of the parts of the guitar and then started learning some basic chords. We are going to learn happy birthday first!

Race day

I enjoyed going to watch the horses race, at the Tauranga race course. I liked picking my favourite horse that I thought might win the race! It was a good day out.

Orchids are us

Went to the Orchid show with some of my friends from Arohanui, it was really cool and we were given an orchid to pin on our tops. Lovely...

Mexicano food

My friends and I did some Mexicano cooking today, we made tortilla chips wil quocamole and salsa, tasty, tasty, very very tasty, mmm!

Te Puna Quarry Park

I enjoyed a visit to Te Puna Quarry Park with my friends. We explored around the place and checked out this cool water wheel. 

Samoan dancing and food

We watched some Samoan dancers this morning and then ate some Samoan Chop Suey - which was really nice!

Money money money

Did a course on how to deal with my money, a Cappa course $$$$$, cool as!

Lei lolly

Had awesome fun making lei lollies in Culture studies, a lovely lady from Samoa came and showed us how to make them, check us out.

Circus Fun

All the three Arohanui centres got together for Circus in a Flasy. It was awesome fun, as we got to try all sorts of toys, spinning plates and balancing cones etc, check me out. 

Pacific Islands

I rested up in some Samoan Clothes today in culture studies. Check me out! I’m looking forward to trying some Samoan food in the next few weeks.

Groovy

Had a really good session in music and dance with my friends. I danced as I sang.

Cards

I'm so cool at this game, watch out doods, I'm gonna win.

Visiting the kiddies

I went to visit the kids at top kids daycare centre. I got to hold a baby and they all seemed happy to see us. I liked showing the older children my ring.

Office work

I've been helping out in the office this week and answering the telephone. 

Socialisng

We made pikelets for our tea party so we could have a good catchup with an old friend  and practise our social skills.

Trip to the lakes

We had a fun day walking in the sun around the lakes at Tauriko. We saw a few species of ducks and plants! A fun day to be out.

Rock music week

It was rock music week in music and so I found a metal versi9n if Britney Spears “Toxic” to sing. I did some mean air guitar too!

Animal farm

I got to do my goal going to Marshalls animal park. I liked feeding the deer and watching Nicole go down the flying fox. I took some pictures on my phone of my favourite animals.

Happy Music

What a fun music session this week. We made. A bit of a mess on the floor with the feather boas and the tinsel shakers! Ha ha!
