Kindness award

I was awarded the kindness award this week because  I’ve been doing lots of kind things around the centre and helping my friends out. It made me feel good when everyone cheered. 

Ice cream at the beach

 It was a beautiful day so I went over to the Mt to get a yummy ice cream and eat it at the beach. I chose my favourite, chocolate flavour with chocolate sauce. It was delicious! 

Historic Village

 I enjoyed a walk around the historic village with some friends. 

Ellendene Farm

 I am so happy to get back out to Ellendene Farm . I Helped to plant potatoes and got back on Nirvana the brown horse for a ride. Then enjoyed going down to the river with my friends. I can’t wait to go back next week! 

Feel the burn

 I did well at the gym this week. I could feel my muscles working hard when I was doing the circuit. I enjoy going every week! 

 

Fishing at Omokoroa

 I enjoyed going out to Omokoroa to try and catch a fish. I only caught seaweed but I liked being able to use this pink fishing rod. 

Rena discovery

 We watched and learned about the Rena disaster. It was sad how the oil killed and hurt the wildlife. It happened 10 years ago! 

Horse ride at Tuapiro point

 I had fun being able to go for a horse ride along the beach and in the water at Tuapiro point. It was a great day!

I dance

 I enjoyed dancing to my fave song “ bonkers” at I dance this week. We also put some cowboy hats on and    Danced to some country songs. 

Bonkers

 It was so much fun putting on a performance for the talent quest. I sung and danced to “Bonkers” and everyone helped me to sing along. I had some awesome moves! 

Pumpkin prep

 I got busy with the discovery group and pipped, peeled and cut all of these pumpkins so they are ready to make our pumpkin soup for our disco next week. 

Garden Games

 I enjoyed paying garden games with the sports crew. The Wilrose Garden is nice and green and peaceful. 

Cricket

 We went to Anzac park and played a game of cricket. It was good getting out into the fresh air and feeling  the sun shining. 

Movie music quiz

 I had a great time working with my team mates to answer the music and movie quiz questions. It was fun doing some dancing and singing along to the songs too. 

Basketball

 I had fun playing Basketball with my friends outside in the sunshine. I am pretty good at shooting hoops even with my nice boots on! 

Pet shop and goldfish

 I went on a community outing to Kiwi pets at Fraser cove. I was hoping to see puppies and kittens but they only had 2 cute blue budgies and lots of fish, big and small and so many different colours! We also watched a dog get groomed, it was so well behaved and just sat there while it got a hair cut.

Rocket Craft

 I made my very own space rocket with my picture on to decorate our space themed wall in the sensory room. 

Birthday card

 This week is my nieces birthday. Her name is Ayla and she’ll be 12 so I made her a birthday card. She is very special to me 🥰 I also helped out at Foodbank too which I like because I love to help out.
