I had a great time dressing up in my beautiful purple dress for the 2023 christmas party. There was some cool acts by circability,presents, dancing, music, lots of yummy food and ice creams from pied piper the ice cream man. It was a great day spent with friends.
I was happy to see that our Manuka seeds had sprouted into seedlings. I repotted some into bigger pots to give them more room to grow bigger and stronger. The girls and I also worked together to put the shade cloth on the tunnel house.
I enjoyed going up to the river at Whakamarama for a river swim. It was nice and refreshing because the weather was so muggy and humid. Im looking forward to swimming more in summer.
For discovery this week we went out to Ellendene farm where we did a bit of horse work. I love working with the horses!
I enjoyed my day with the girls in the discovery group, checking out all the amazing and delicious vegie seedlings they are growing at growers direct. We picked up some garden mix. I used my money skills to purchase some seed raising mix then lunch we got stuck in the garden raising our garden bed and sow some pohutukawa seeds.
I had a amazing time catching my own trout fish at Nongotaha trout hatchery. I enjoyed going on a tour to see and hold the baby trout too. The next day I was in the kitchen being a master chef cooking the trout to eat. I cooked it with garlic, butter and chopped onion. Yummy!
I enjoyed helping set up the waterblaster and giving the blasting a go. It was very satisfying to do
I went to the wharf at the mount to try my luck catching a fish. I didn't catch any I guess they weren't that hungry. Oh well, I'll try again another time
I love going to the foodbank and helping out. This week we packaged milk powder in to bags. I scooped two cups in to the bags then helped seal them. It will make 2 litres of milk for people to drink.
We had the wilrose talent quest and I performed 3 different songs. 2 in groups and one by myself. I did great and I had heaps of fun
I was back at foodbank and we were packaging up cat food and dog food to make sure even the pets are being fed and looked after.
I went to Anzac Park and then to Marble bar to play some pool with my friends. It was a great way to spend the morning!
We have circability come weekly and they teach us circus skills which is super fun. This week we did firesticks and some poi.
It was a beautiful sunning day to go out sailing. We did get a little bit wet this time from the spray of the ocean water which made it a different day of sailing, my purple hat got wet.
I love to volunteer at tauranga foodbank. This week we packaged up cat food with some cat treats.
I went to the gym at Blaze Fitness up at Gate pa. I enjoy going and working on getting nice and fit and build my muscles!
Discovery group went up to Ellendene farm yesterday to get the garden ready to plant veges for our farm to fork program. We pulled out all the weeds and got the soil ready. It was hard work!
For discovery we went out to Te Puna Quarry to explore. We found some cool native plants and I checked out the large dragon there, it wasn't scary cos I know it's made of concrete! It was a fun day
I had a lovely morning walking in the warm sunshine with my friends. We explored some of the Daisy Hardwick walkway.
