Ellendene farms

 For discovery this week we went out to Ellendene farm where we did a bit of horse work. I love working with the horses!

Garden care

 I enjoyed my day with the girls in the discovery group,  checking out all the amazing and delicious vegie seedlings they are growing at growers direct. We picked up some garden mix. I used my money skills to purchase some seed raising mix then lunch we got stuck in the garden raising our garden bed and sow some pohutukawa seeds. 

 

Trout fishing

  I had a amazing time catching my own trout fish at Nongotaha trout hatchery. I enjoyed going on a tour to see and hold the baby trout too. The next day I was in the kitchen being a master chef cooking the trout to eat. I cooked it with garlic, butter and chopped onion. Yummy!

Water blasting

 I enjoyed helping set up the waterblaster and giving the blasting a go. It was very satisfying to do

Day on the farm

 I was happy to see Olive and enjoyed tidying up the farm.

Fishing

 I went to the wharf at the mount to try my luck catching a fish. I didn't catch any I guess they weren't that hungry. Oh well, I'll try again another time 

Helping out the community

 I love going to the foodbank and helping out. This week we packaged milk powder in to bags. I scooped two cups in to the bags then helped seal them. It will make 2 litres of milk for people to drink.
