This week i have added more detail to my wolf mural, helped out with centre jobs learning good lifeskills, relaxed taking part in a meditation, sang karaoke with my friends, repotted seedlings & enjoyed a delicious lunch of fresh fish, hot chips, sausages, burgers & fresh fruit that my dad brought in for all of our Wilrose centre to enjoy.
I have been learning to blend colours & use different paint brushes while making more progress on my wolf mural. It is looking awesome!
This week I helped to make some cheesecakes for Under the Stars. It made me feel good to do an act of service for the community.
I went to New world and purchased ingredients to make my butter chicken recipe. My friends and I worked out the cheapest way to buy the ingredients to create our yummy dish. The best part was having a taste!
This week both of our Discovery groups helped volunteer with Coast care. In March we weeded the sand dunes & this week we went back to the same area at 192 Marine Parade & replanted 2 different types of plants to protect our beach. Sand dunes are important primarily due to their protective role for coastal areas & as habitats for unique plant & aniaml life. We worked hard & dug holes to a certain depth before planting the new plants.
I really enjoyed having cuddles with uno the little chuwaiwai dog. I took turns having cuddles with him and walking the other cute doggies too.
